Ah, Normalcy!

by on November 28, 2011

Wow! It has been a couple weeks since I have posted; time really does go by so fast! I have my radiation dry run next Monday and then I start the actual zaps (is that what you call them?) the next day for a total of 28 rounds. So barring any major snow days and including the two upcoming holidays, I should be all done with rads on Monday, January 16th. Awesome!

It has been so nice not to run to the doctor every week. Other than not having any hair, my life seems almost normal again and I love it. I am just soaking it all up and enjoying every minute of it. Oh, and I have been torturing my husband by making him look at my head every day and telling me if the hair looks longer than it did the day before. And he always says yes! :-)

We still have some lingering snow here in Maine from last week’s storm (but it’s all melting since it’s 60 degrees today – that’s my kind of winter weather). I took a little video of my dogs this past weekend after we got back from our walk. Enjoy!

Yay for normalcy!! Those “zaps” will go by fast! And your hair will get longer every day! And one day not to far into the future, this will all be in the rearview mirror. So proud of you, you have faced many tough decisions, had to manage tough emotions but you kept head up and faced each day even when you wanted to just to lay it all down. I hope you realize how strong you are! Dad, Derek and I know!!
Love you!!
The video is cute!! Making me miss our walks together :-( we better schedule some time together!!
